Franz Ferdinand are officially back. The band announced a new album, entitled Always Ascending, which will drop on February 9th, 2018. This is the follow up of 2013’s Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action and the first record to be released after Mike McCarthy left the band in 2016. Members of the band have been busy with other side projects, like FFS (Franz Ferdinand and Sparks) and BNQT, but are now fully committed to the Franz reunion.

To keep up with this new record announcement, the band has also revealed a massive world tour for 2017-2018. The first show takes place in Seattle heding then to Canada. They were also announced as part of the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas lineup, alongside with Morrissey, The Killers, Weezer, Muse, Queens of the Stone Age and 30 Seconds to Mars and others).
